DHOLERA is situated in Ahmedabad district along the Gulf of Khambhat. Identified as a Greenfield port, it is being developed with private sector participation by Dholera Port Limited, promoted by the J.K. Group and the Adani Group.
Dholera lies close to the coastal belt and is surrounded by water bodies on three sides the Gulf of Khambhat on the east, Bavaliari Creek on the north, and Sonaria Creek on the south giving it a natural maritime advantage for port-led industrial development.

Proximity to Ahmedabad gives Dholera a strong locational edge, supported by an already vibrant industrial base and growing investment environment. The entire project is spread across 35,000 hectares, of which 14,000 hectares form the processing area, while the remaining land is designated as non-processing zones for social, residential, and supporting infrastructure.
